This course is designed for those that have completed the Safer Recruitment Training but who now want to refresh their knowledge of best practice and to bring themselves up to date with the latest developments. It is recommended that refresher training is undertaken every 3-5 years.
Participants will: gain an awareness and understanding of offender behaviour identify the key features of staff recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people consider policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting begin to review their own and their organisations' policies and practices with a view to making them safer ensure your appointment panel includes at least one accredited recruiter
