Teachers in their first to fourth year of teaching are invited to join us at the annual Southend, Essex and Thurrock RQT conference.
Places are heavily subsided by NCTL and are therefore limited. Costs to schools are just £35 per delegate, which includes refreshments, lunch and all course materials.

Andy Cope Andy Cope describes himself as a "professional trainer, qualified teacher, author and learning junkie". He has recently completed a Doctorate at the University of Loughborough... investigating the science of happiness and positivity. Andy is also a best-selling author; he writes the ‘Brilliant’ range of self-help books for adults and teenagers, and also pens the successful children’s ‘Spy Dog’ series for Puffin, which has sold over a million copies. He has also penned a 5 book series for Crown House, aimed at teachers.
Jackie Beere OBE Jackie Beere is a leading educational trainer, a former Headteacher, School Improvement Partner, Advanced Skills Teacher, AST Assessor, life coach and NLP Master Practitioner. She is also a successful author of many books including The Perfect Teacher and The Perfect (Ofsted) Lesson. She was awarded the OBE for services to education in 2002 and has continued to help schools improve ever since.
Workshops will include: Becoming a Lead Practitioner, Effective Coaching, Leading a Subject Area, Leading Others, The Role of Specialist Leaders of Education and Becoming an Effective Mentor among many others focusing on leadership skills or on practical strategies to improve practice.
